Ajman Free Zone is one of the UAE's older free zones, first established in 1988 in the emirate of Ajman, next to Ajman port and within reach of the Dubai and Sharjah airports. It issues commercial, industrial and sole-professional (freelancer) licences, and lets founders choose between an FZE, an FZC, or a branch of a local or foreign company. Beyond standard and executive offices, it runs themed spaces such as a Freelancer and Pioneers Hub, an e-commerce hub and an AI and robotics hub, alongside warehouses, leasable land and on-site accommodation. Food and beverage, automotive, health and beauty, construction and education are among its listed sectors, and the authority is also courting textile companies.
